What the free email checker looks for
Every address you paste runs through the same first-pass checks Qualisend uses on full lists — the ones that catch the majority of bad addresses instantly, before they ever reach a mail server:
- Syntax & formatting
- Is it a properly formed address? A missing @, stray spaces, and invalid characters are caught immediately.
- Typo detection
- Common misspellings of popular providers — gmial.com, hotnail.com, yaho.com — are flagged with a “did you mean” suggestion.
- Disposable & throwaway domains
- Temporary inbox services (mailinator, tempmail, and thousands more) that stop accepting mail minutes after sign-up.
- Role-based addresses
- Generic mailboxes like info@, support@ and admin@ that rarely belong to one person and quietly hurt engagement.
- Domain & DNS records

What the full check adds
The free check rules out the obviously bad addresses. Full verification goes one step further: Qualisend opens a real SMTP conversation with the receiving mail server to confirm whether the specific mailbox exists and will accept mail — the difference between “the domain works” and “this person's inbox is real.” It also grades the risky in-between addresses that quietly drive up bounces:
