Verify email in Grok
xAI shipped custom MCP servers in May 2026 under the name Bring Your Own MCP. Add the Qualisend endpoint as a custom connector and Grok can verify addresses and clean lists in conversation, alongside its built-in connectors.

Connect it to Grok
You need a Qualisend account - the free plan includes 100 verification credits that never expire - and Grok itself. Steps checked against xAI's documentation in September 2026.

Open your connectors
Sign in at grok.com and go to grok.com/connectors. From inside a chat you can also click + in the composer and pick Connectors.

Click New Connector and choose Custom. (The launch announcement labels the same button + Add connector.)

Paste the endpoint
Enter the Qualisend MCP endpoint. Grok only accepts servers reachable on the public internet - it rejects localhost and private addresses outright - which is fine here.

Complete the sign-in
Approve access to the Qualisend workspace you want Grok to use. The connection is scoped to that workspace and you can cut it off at any time.

Grok discovers the verification tools and uses them in conversation exactly like its built-in and catalog connectors.
One-click sign-in
Sign in when Grok asks. xAI documents the step only as "complete any required authentication" - for Qualisend that is the one-click sign-in, which Grok runs automatically because the endpoint advertises it.
Check that it worked
Ask "how many Qualisend credits do I have left?". A number back means you are connected - that tool is free, so it costs nothing to test.
Worth knowing
- On Grok Business and Enterprise nothing shows up for members until an admin adds it. The admin path is console.x.ai -> your team -> Grok Business -> Connectors -> + Add Connector -> Other -> paste the endpoint. It needs Team Read-Write permission.
- The console uses different labels from the consumer app: + Add Connector and Other, where grok.com says New Connector and Custom. Same thing.
- On iOS and Android, Settings -> Connectors lists the connectors on your account. xAI documents the add-a-custom-URL flow on the web only, so add it once at grok.com and it follows you to the apps.
- Grok refuses localhost and private-network URLs. Not a problem for Qualisend, but it is why a self-hosted MCP server needs a public tunnel.
What to ask once it is connected
There are no commands to learn. Ask in your own words and Grok picks the right tool - there are twelve, covering verification, sending-domain deliverability and blacklist checks.
What Grok can reach
Only the verification tools, scoped to the single workspace you connect. It cannot reach another customer's data, your billing, or any admin function, and it never sees how a check is performed - just the verdict and the score. Authentication is an explicit token in a request header, never a cookie, so there is no session for a malicious page to borrow. Revoke it from Grok or from your Qualisend dashboard at any time; sign-in access also expires on its own within an hour. Full detail is on the MCP documentation page.
