Keep your Attio people clean and deliverable
Attio is a flexible CRM. It keeps your people and companies, syncs your email and calendar, and can send sequences. What it never checks is whether the email address on a person can receive mail. Qualisend closes that gap. Its native Attio connector verifies the people in your workspace and saves the result on each person, so you can filter, report and build workflows on it. The CSV loop and the API cover manual passes.

Connect Attio directly, no CSV needed
Connect in one click
Sign in to Attio and approve access - no API keys to copy. An Attio workspace admin must connect.
- Clean all people or a people list
- Results saved as attributes on each person
- New people checked in real time, one-click setup
- Auto-clean every 7, 14 or 30 days
How it works
- 1
Connect Attio
In Qualisend, go to Integrations > Attio, click Connect Attio and approve the access in Attio. You need to be an admin of your Attio workspace.
- 2
Choose who to clean
Pick All people or one of your people lists, then click Verify & clean. Each clean covers about 5,000 people, newest first. Each address uses 1 credit, and Unknown results are refunded.
- 3
Results land on each person
Qualisend adds its own attributes to People and fills them in: Qualisend status (Deliverable, Risky, Undeliverable or Unknown), Qualisend reason, Qualisend score (0-100), Qualisend checked at, and True/False flags for free email, disposable, role email, catch-all, full mailbox and disabled. Nothing else on the person changes.
- 4
Keep it clean
Repeat the clean every 7, 14 or 30 days. Turn on real-time checks to verify each new person, and anyone whose email changes. People Attio creates from email and calendar sync are skipped.
Prefer CSV or the API? Both work too, see below.
What Attio cleans for you
Attio's own email hygiene lives in Sequences. When a sequence email hard-bounces, Attio adds the address to your Unsubscribes list. That person can't be enrolled in another sequence until a workspace member removes them. For people you have already emailed from a sequence, that is a reliable safety net.
What it can't catch
The net only catches an address after it bounces. Attio also creates people on its own from synced email and calendars, and more arrive from imports, forms and other apps. None of those addresses are checked when they land. Typos, disposable domains, role addresses and abandoned mailboxes all look fine on the record until a rep or a sequence emails them. By then the bounce has already counted against your domain.
Why a clean Attio list matters
Attio bills per user. The real cost of a dead address shows up in your outreach. Reps spend time on people they can never reach. Every bounce from a sequence or a rep's inbox tells mailbox providers your list is stale, and Gmail and Yahoo's 2024 sender rules hold bulk senders to low bounce and complaint rates. A clean people list keeps reps on real leads and keeps your domain trusted for the deals that matter.
Prefer CSV or the API? Here's the manual path
The native connector is the fastest route, but the CSV loop works on any Attio plan: export from Attio, verify in Qualisend, and act on the results.
Export your people from Attio
Open People, or the list you want to clean. Make sure the Email addresses column is visible, because every visible column goes into the file. If you add filters, click Save for everyone first so the export uses them. Then click Import / Export in the top right and choose Export view as CSV.
Verify the file in Qualisend
Upload the CSV to Qualisend bulk cleaning, or paste addresses directly. A job takes up to 1,000,000 addresses, and duplicates are charged once. The free plan's 100 credits cover a first sample.
Read the results
Every address comes back deliverable, risky, undeliverable or unknown, with a reason code, a 0-100 score and sub-flags (catch-all, disposable, role, full mailbox). Download the results as a CSV.
Bring the results back into Attio
Add a select attribute on People to hold the result. Then import the results file with a CSV import and map the Email addresses column, so Attio updates the matching people. Filter your views on the new attribute and keep undeliverable people out of sequences.
Or automate it at signup
With the connector, real-time checks verify each new person as they land in Attio, except people Attio creates from email and calendar sync. To stop bad addresses even earlier, verify at the point of capture with the Qualisend REST API (scoped keys, rate limits, webhooks), or a Zapier, Make or n8n flow, before a form fill ever becomes a person.
What Qualisend flags on every address
- Invalid addresses that would hard-bounce the first time a rep or a sequence emails the person
- Disposable domains built to expire, often entered on forms and trial signups
- Role addresses (info@, sales@, support@) that don't belong to one person
- Catch-all domains, flagged so you can treat them with care instead of trusting them
- A 0-100 confidence score and a machine-readable reason code for every address
The native Attio connector is live. Connect it in Qualisend under Integrations and work with your Attio list directly, no CSV needed.
What to do with each result
Every address comes back with a verdict and sub-flags. Here's the action that keeps your Attio list clean without throwing away contacts you can still reach.
deliverableSafe to email and to enroll in sequences.deliverable + role flagKeep for account and deal email. Leave it out of sequences that expect a person to reply.risky + catch-all flagEmail with care and watch the first send. The domain accepts every address, so the mailbox can't be confirmed.risky + disposable flagKeep it out of sequences. The inbox was built to expire.unknownKeep the person and check again on the next clean. It is usually greylisting or a slow server, not a verdict on the mailbox.undeliverableKeep it out of sequences and outreach. Filter on Qualisend status in your views and workflows so nobody emails it.Related reading
