Keep your Pipedrive contacts clean and deliverable
Pipedrive is a sales CRM first: it stores persons and moves deals through pipelines, but out of the box it does nothing to judge whether the email on a contact record can actually receive mail. Qualisend closes that gap. Connect Pipedrive directly with the native connector to verify your contacts in place and write the results back onto each person, or run the CSV loop and the REST API when you want a manual pass or to check addresses at the point of capture.

Connect Pipedrive and clean it in place
Connect Pipedrive and Qualisend verifies the contacts in your pipeline in place — no export. Bad addresses are flagged on the record, every new contact is checked in real time, and you can re-verify on a schedule so your reps never chase a dead inbox.
Prefer to work by hand, or verify at signup through your own stack? The CSV export → verify → reimport loop below and the REST API are fully supported too.
Connect PipedriveWhat Pipedrive cleans for you
Base Pipedrive has no email hygiene at all — a person record holds an email address whether or not a mailbox exists behind it, and nothing marks it bad until you try to send. The only native hygiene lives in the paid Campaigns add-on, which tracks the Marketing status field on each contact: when a campaign hard-bounces, Campaigns sets that contact to Bounced and stops including it in future sends, and an unsubscribe or spam complaint flips the status to Unsubscribed. For contacts you have actually emailed through Campaigns, that status model is reliable, automatic suppression. Everything outside Campaigns — your Sales Inbox, email sync, and sequences run through automations — has no such backstop and will keep dialing dead addresses.
What it can't catch
Every one of those Campaigns mechanisms is reactive: it needs a send and a bounce before Marketing status moves. Never-mailed invalids sitting on person records from web form captures, LeadBooster chat, imports, and manual rep entry all look perfectly valid until a rep or a sequence emails them for the first time — which is exactly when a mailbox provider forms its first impression of your domain. Disposable domains, role addresses like info@ and sales@, catch-all domains that accept anything then silently drop it, and mailboxes that have decayed since the deal went cold are all invisible to a status field that only updates on a bounce. An imported list is the sharpest case: it arrives with its bounce history stripped, so addresses that were already failing elsewhere land in Pipedrive looking brand new.
Why a clean Pipedrive list matters
Pipedrive bills per seat, not per contact, so a dead address doesn't inflate your subscription the way it would on a contact-priced ESP — which means the whole cost is hidden in wasted rep time and damaged deliverability. Every invalid email is a rep chasing a mailbox that will never reply, and a sequence or Campaigns blast that bounces off it. Those bounces and the spam complaints that follow are precisely what Gmail and Yahoo's 2024 bulk-sender rules police, and once your domain's reputation drops, even the mail to your good contacts starts landing in spam. Cleaning before you send protects both your reps' time and the inbox placement of the deals that actually close.
Prefer CSV or the API? Here's the manual path
The native connector is the fastest route, but the CSV loop works on any Pipedrive plan: export from Pipedrive, verify in Qualisend, and act on the results.
Export your contacts from Pipedrive
Go to Contacts > People, apply or build a filter for the segment you want to clean, select the matching records, then use the ... (more options) menu and choose Export filter results to download a CSV.
Verify the file in Qualisend
Upload the CSV to Qualisend bulk cleaning — up to 1,000,000 addresses per job, duplicates charged once, with live progress — or paste addresses directly. The free plan's 100 credits that never expire cover a first sample.
Read the results
Every address returns deliverable, risky, undeliverable, or unknown with a machine-readable reason code and sub-flags (catch-all, disposable, role, full mailbox), plus the MX provider and SMTP probe detail as evidence. Download the cleaned CSV.
Act on the records in Pipedrive
Filter your people list to the dead addresses and use the bulk-action bar: apply a Label like Undeliverable to tag them, set Marketing status to Unsubscribed to suppress them from Campaigns, or delete the persons outright. Re-import the cleaned CSV to write a status column back across the list in one pass.
Or automate it at signup
The fastest path is the live native connector: verify new contacts in real time as they land and re-clean on a schedule, with results written straight back to each person. To catch addresses even earlier, verify at the point of capture through the Qualisend REST API (scoped keys, rate limits, webhooks) or a Zapier, Make, or n8n flow, so a typo or disposable address on a Pipedrive web form or lead-capture step is caught before it ever becomes a person record.
What Qualisend flags on every address
- Never-mailed invalid addresses that would hard-bounce the moment a rep or sequence emails the contact
- Disposable / throwaway domains built to expire, often accepted through web forms and chat capture
- Role addresses (info@, sales@, support@) that belong to no single person and skew engagement
- Catch-all domains, flagged so you can Label and throttle them instead of trusting a blanket accept
- A 0–100 confidence score and machine-readable reason code on every contact's address
The native Pipedrive connector is live — connect it in Qualisend under Integrations and clean your list without a single CSV. New contacts are verified automatically, and you can re-verify on a schedule.
What to do with each result
Every address comes back with a verdict and sub-flags. Here's the action that keeps your Pipedrive list clean without throwing away contacts you can still reach.
