Qualisend
Native connector returning — CSV & API work today

Trim your AWeber subscriber count and protect every broadcast

AWeber automatically retires addresses that keep hard-bouncing and honors every unsubscribe, but it can't judge an address it has never mailed — and on subscriber-count pricing those never-mailed invalids inflate your bill as well as your bounce rate. Qualisend closes that gap: export your list, verify every address, and delete or unsubscribe the dead ones so junk never reaches a broadcast — or your invoice. Here's the workflow that works today, plus the API and no-code options.

One-click AWeber sync is paused while we rebuild the platform

We've deliberately paused our one-click native connectors while we re-engineer the sync layer they run on — hardening how we authenticate, respect each platform's rate limits, and write results back — so that when the native AWeber integration returns, it stays dependable at any list size rather than fragile at scale. None of this touches how Qualisend verifies an address.

Everything you need works today: the CSV export → verify → reimport loop below, and the API for verifying at signup, are both fully supported and running in production — that's how teams keep AWeber clean right now.

AWeber handles

What AWeber cleans for you

AWeber's native hygiene runs on subscriber status and bounce handling: unsubscribes are honored automatically and excluded from every broadcast and campaign, an address that repeatedly hard-bounces is marked undeliverable and retired, and a spam complaint routed back through the feedback loop unsubscribes the complainer. For addresses AWeber has actually mailed, that's reliable, automatic hygiene. The catch is that stopping mail isn't the same as removing a subscriber — an unsubscribed or bounced address can still sit in your account and count toward the subscriber total your plan is billed on.

The gap it leaves

What it can't catch

Every one of those mechanisms needs a send and a failure to fire. Never-mailed invalids from imports and old signups, unconfirmed and inactive subscribers, disposable addresses, role addresses, and decayed mailboxes have never bounced because AWeber has never sent to them — they look healthy until your first broadcast, which is exactly when a mailbox provider forms its first impression of your domain. An imported list is the sharpest case: it arrives with its bounce history stripped, so addresses that were already failing elsewhere look brand new in AWeber — and each one counts toward your subscriber tier from the moment it lands.

Why a clean AWeber list matters

On AWeber the stakes are double, because AWeber prices on the number of subscribers you store, not the emails you send. Every dead, duplicate, or never-confirmed address is a line item on your invoice as well as a drag on deliverability — undeliverable addresses are the purest waste, since you're paying to store mailboxes that will never receive a broadcast, and pruning enough of them can drop you into a lower subscriber tier. Meanwhile a list full of never-mailed invalids turns your next broadcast into a wave of hard bounces that dents your sender reputation and pushes the rest of your mail toward spam — right as Gmail and Yahoo's sender rules judge you on bounce and complaint rates. Cleaning before a send does both jobs at once: it trims the count your plan is billed on and protects the inbox placement of the broadcasts that actually convert.

The workflow that works today

Direct connectors are paused while we rebuild the platform, so the dependable path is the CSV loop: export from AWeber, verify in Qualisend, reimport the clean file.

1

Export your list from AWeber

Open your Subscribers area, search or segment to the list you want to clean, and export the results to CSV — make sure the email column is included.

2

Verify the file in Qualisend

Upload the CSV to Qualisend bulk cleaning — up to 1,000,000 addresses per job, duplicates charged once — or paste a sample into the free checker first. The free plan's 100 one-time credits, which never expire, cover an initial spot-check.

3

Read the results

Every address returns deliverable, risky, undeliverable, or unknown with a reason code, a 0–100 score, and sub-flags (catch-all, disposable, role, full mailbox), plus the MX provider and probe detail as evidence. Download the cleaned CSV.

4

Delete or unsubscribe in AWeber

Filter your results to undeliverable, match those addresses in your Subscribers search, and delete them in bulk. Deleting is what removes a subscriber from the count your plan is billed on — unsubscribing stops the sends but may still leave the record on your billable tally, so delete when trimming the bill is the goal. Keep the cleaned CSV as the record that stops a future import from silently re-adding them.

Or automate it at signup

Prefer to keep junk out from the start? Verify at the point of capture with the Qualisend REST API (scoped keys, rate limits, webhooks), or wire a no-code flow through Zapier, Make, or n8n so new AWeber signups are checked before they ever become billable subscribers.

What Qualisend flags on every address

Native connector status

A native, one-click AWeber connector is part of the platform we're rebuilding — it's returning, not deprecated. Until it ships, the CSV loop above and the API are the fully supported path, and they work with any AWeber plan.

What to do with each result

Every address comes back with a verdict and sub-flags. Here's the action that keeps your AWeber list clean without throwing away contacts you can still reach.

deliverableKeep as an active subscriber.
deliverable + role flagKeep for transactional content; exclude from engagement-judged automations.
risky + catch-all flagMove to a dedicated segment and send at a lower cadence — don't delete.
risky + disposable flagDelete or unsubscribe — the inbox was built to expire.
unknownKeep active and re-verify next clean — usually a temporary greylist or rate-limit, not a verdict on the mailbox.
undeliverableDelete to take it off your subscriber count; don't wait for the bounce to prove it.
